Reef Keeping
Home DIY Refugium My Photos

Pictured below is my Waving Hand Coral (Xenia)

My newest hobby is Saltwater aquaria and reef keeping.  I had two saltwater tanks when I was in college back in 1990 or so, but then I sold them because I moved into a smaller apartment and had no room for them.  I got started again in January 2004.  This time I have a 46 gallon acrylic tank.  I built my own 32 gallon sump / refugium.  I am using a XM 10,000K Metal Halide light with 2 PC actinic blue lights as well as one 50/50 and one actinic blue standard florescent light.  Currently my live stock includes:

  • 2 Maroon Clownfish -  (Premnas biaculeatus)

  • 1 Coral Beauty Angelfish (Centropyge bispinosus)
